For December, I've decided to give away a few free songs to celebrate the birth of the Savior. Christmas has always been a special time of year for me growing up as a kid. My parents are from a small island called Tonga. Tonga is a third world country, but the people are loving and happy.
When my parents joined the LDS church, they moved to Salt Lake City, Utah. In Utah, my mom would deck out our home with all kinds of Christmas lights, and decorate the inside and outside of our house beautifully. Christmas was not focused on Santa Clause because my parents did know who Santa was LOL! Christmas was about Christ.
In December as a kid, we would visit nursing homes singing songs of Christ. My parents would take us door to door with treats for families who were not as loved in the neighborhood to make them feel loved and wanted because that is what Christ would want us to do. Christmas was about pleasing our Father in Heaven.

Lasting night as I was going through my Facebook I saw an amazing video of an Olympic runner Dave Wottle who ran in the 1972 Olympics. This guy is so inspiring because he never never never gives up.
I have watched the video so many times because it gives me the strength to believe in myself and other people. It starts with him racing, and he's in the last place, then, well you have to watch the video!
Dave inspires me because he never never never gives up. This man did not quit! Yes, he was an Olympic Athlete, but after training for years and being the last in a race on national television, how could that not depress anyone!! I thought while watching the video; Dave would have been depressed which would naturally hold him back from winning the race, but it didn't.
Dave Wottle did not let his place in the race determined who he was at the moment, or how he would finish. I believe Dave did more than train his body for the Olympics; I know Dave had spent years training his mind how to think positive and believe in himself.
Just the other day my 10-year-old son who is the quarterback for his little league football team said to me in the van "Mom, one of the dad's on the team said we lost our best players, and our team will have a hard time winning this year." I said "What do you think," My son (Soakai) said, " I believe in my team, I know we can win games." After my son told me his feelings, I looked at him (in the van), and he had a tear down his cheek. I told my son if he continues to work hard, and do his best, and then does everything he can to make his team great too, then they'll win games. My son looked at me and smiled.
The next Saturday my son's team won their first football game. Faith in God, and our-self, combined with hard work, has everything to do with success and true happiness.
Believing that other people can and will succeed, gives people hope to work hard at their goals and dreams. Believing in people even when they might not accomplish tasks gives them strength to believe in themselves, which will help them get better each day and progress.
To those who are struggling, never never never give up! If you continue to work hard and be honest with people, the Lord will bless you. He will seed angles (people) who will lighten your load and love you.
To those who have a broken heart and want to give up, don't give up!! Your heart will be healed, and you will feel loved again.
Whatever situation we're in never never never give up!! Never stop believing! There is a God who loves us, who wants us to come to Him during our hardships and pain. He will help us with any situation we are in. Believe in God, believe in yourself, and believe in others. Never never never give up!

There are thousands and thousands of Christian music websites online today. With so many different Christain music websites how do we narrow down our choice and follow a site that brings us closer to God?
I wish I could follow all the great Christian music websites online, but I don't have the time. It would take me all day to check out music and articles, so I've narrowed down my choice by asking myself which sites help me believe in Christ, and deny him not?
I know it seems funny to ask myself such a profound question about a simple topic, but it helps me use my time wisely and helps me narrow down my options. With so many philosophies online today it helps me stay focused on truth, and the teachings of Jesus Christ.
One thing I do that helps me stay focused on Jesus Christ is that I read and study about Him every morning for an hour. The Bible has great testimonies about Christ's life that helps me stay close to him. I love studying the Bible! It helps me grow closer to God. Another book that I read in the morning is The Book of Mormon another testament of Jesus Christ. The Book of Mormon is a record of people in America. It is a record of individuals who knew about Jesus Christ when he was on the earth. It's a testimony of how the Lord blessed people in America.
Studying the history, and records of people who have witnessed the Lord's miracles in their lives strengthens me to believe in Christ, and know that he is real. I know without a doubt that Christ loves and watches over all people.
I have never seen Christ in person, but I have seen him work miracles in my life, and I have seen his love and counseling hand in my life. I've also been blessed to see his hand in the life of others and have witnessed their miracles. I now that it is not by luck that I have seen and done great things by the Lord's influence because luck eventually runs out, and when it's gone, it's gone. But faith in Christ is never wasted. Faith and obedience to God's commandments are what brings miracles.
For me to believe in Christ, I have to study about him and follow good sites or blogs that build my faith in Christ. When I follow websites that don't follow along with the lines of Christ teachings, it will offset me from where I want my focus to be. I want my focus to always be towards Jesus Christ. To avoid him or only remember him during certain days of the week, or in times of trial would be to deny him, and I pray that I will never deny God.
Awhile back I heard Alex Boye sing live at a church event. I was so impressed and entertained that I still remember his incredible performance. The event was a small event with only 50 people, but it was, so heartfelt that I want to see an Alex Boye concert! Since I've had my baby (a year ago), I haven't been able to do as many gigs as I'd like, but I do have an excellent reason.
Being a mom has been an honor and opportunity. I love waking up before my kids and watching them sleep, and the most rewarding gift in life is hearing them testify of Jesus Christ's love. As much as I would love to be a great performer like Alex Boye and do more gig, or attend an Alex Boye concert, I have to say I'm so happy and I'm doing important work!
Being home more has made it possible for me to teach my kids music. In fact, I just recently wrote a song and had my kids sing the chorus. I'm working on it now in the studio. I'll be finishing up that song within the next few months.

Last week I was blessed to sing at a Christian girls camp. So many songs I wrote came to my mind as I thought of which song to sing. I couldn’t help but sit down with my guitar and sing one of the songs that kept coming to my mind over and over again. It’s called “I Will Go” a Christian song I wrote.
Many times in my life I have felt and seen the mercy of God's love in my life. After those moments I have heard a still small voice prompting me to write Christian music/songs about those great experiences I've had. As much as I would love to take 100% credit for all the song ideas I came up with I can't, because they were all inspired by God. He is the influence behind all great things. “I Will Go” is a Christian contemporary song that I wrote in response to that voice inside of me, that entices me to do good, and encourages me to keep trying when I have lost all hope.
Last week at girls camp, was a great reminder of why I love music so much, and why I feel so blessed, God has given me the gift to write music, sing, and play instruments. I know that my gifts were not given to me for my own self-satisfaction, they were given to me to uplift others at it has done to myself.
